So, I'm creating a sort of rags to riches character, an urchin with aspirations of raising her status by becoming a knight to win the affections of a high-status crush. Because of her backstory and my tastes in playstyle, I've decided it'd be best to go with swashbuckler for the main class; It just feels like a nice foot for an ambitious street rat with no formal training.
But I feel like to capture that feeling of striving to embody the image of an attractive knight, I'm leaning toward taking an archetype somewhere along the line. After a quick skim, cavalier feels like the most fitting pick—what's a knight without a trusty steed, after all—with a fighter in second. I've also considered marshal since it adds extra uses for Charisma skills but I'll reserve that for if I decide I don't like the other two or I get some wiggle room with feat distribution.
That all said, while I'm not usually the type to worry too much about the optimal build or whatever, usually preferring to just pick whatever fits my character concept/theme best, I am still a bit new to 2E and am a bit wary about wasting mah precious feats, so I figured there'd be no harm on getting some opinions on the matter.
