How to handle psionics in PF2e?

Post Body

So, one of the things I was excited for about Pathfinder2e was that, unlike D&D5e, it seemed to have native psionic stuff with the "Psychic" class. Fast forward to today where I suddenly come to the realization that "Psychic" is just an occult spellcaster. I'm after something that can actually be defined as "Psionics". In case it's not clear exactly what I mean by that:

Psionics is an entirely different type of "energy" from magic. Something like "Detect Magic" wouldn't pick up on anything psionic. Likewise, something psionic would have its own "Detect Psionics" which wouldn't pick up on anything magical. While Psionics can mimic magic, it's altogether different (like, it could mimic the Fireball spell, but it wouldn't be magical). The way AD&D did it (and I think D&D 3e from what I can find) was that psionics was split up into six disciplines: Clairsentience, Metacreativity, Psychokinesis, Psychometabolism, Psychoportation, and Telepathy. Psionics also used "powers" instead of spells.

As another example, characters can know what a Psychic is doing with either Detect Magic or a good enough Occult check. But psionics is wholly unnatural to a spellcaster. I would want them to make a "Psionics" check or something like that to try to know what the psionic is doing. Something that makes psionics feel like it really is a wholly different thing from magic, not just something a wizard can eventually access with enough training.
