Eldritch Archer and Crossbows

So I was looking at Eldritch Archer and it mentions several times in the text "Bow or Crossbows" but then a lot of the prerequisites require only bows. Is this because of an errata error or am I unaware that crossbows, while their own weapon, still classify as bows? Or am I just reading Archives of Nethys wrong?
