Hello! I have been playing pf2e on foundry with a group of friends for a couple of months now. I quite enjoy it. I am currently an elemental sorcerer, and am having a good time. We just hit level 9 and I can cast lightning storm now so I’m pretty excited for that.
Anyways, I was talking with my dm last night just going over our session and I was wondering if there is a way to increase your to hit or dc on a caster? I know you can decrease the enemies saves and ac with flat-footed and demoralizing. But is there a way to increase your own? It would be nice, maybe items or something?
Also I’m planning a backup character in case I kick the bucket and got approval to play a gunslinger. We don’t have free archetype but I do want to use the unexpected sharpshooter dedication.
If I wanted to do this with a 2 handed firearm. What kind of skills should I be looking at? I use my dex for my to hit I think. But some of the firearms have strength requirements I think?
What way is best for 2 handed firearms? It looked like sniper way was okay. Are there others?
Are there any trap feats on gunslinger I should be aware of?
Also do I need to take the advanced shooter feat to use good firearms or is it only for specific ones that I’d need it for?
What are some of the better class feats for gunslinger/unexpected sharpshooter?
What Ability scores should I be focusing on besides con and dex as a gunslinger?
And finally, what race should I be looking at? Does it matter at all or is there some that are more beneficial for this type of build than others
