Converting AD&D 1st edition Temple of Elemental Evil
Post Body

Hello everyone! A long time ago, when I first got into Pathfinder 1st edition, I had a GM who homebrewed Temple of Elemental Evil into a more friendly Pathfinder 1st edition adventure. Unfortunately we never finished that campaign but was really fun. Now getting back into GMing and experiencing 2nd edition since the playtest, I have been thinking about converting that adventure into a Pathfinder 2e campaign.

I bought the pdf and have been looking over it to see if I could piece together some conversions myself but wanted to ask you what you may advise for homebrewing this adventure. With Rage of Elements we were introduced to two new planes so I was thinking of introducing them to the adventure. I'm not sure if I want to convert the whole of the Greyhawk setting or just use my own setting and use the locations in the adventure but with my own flair or with any ideas you may present. One change I was thinking of having is that there is a church being built in the village of Hommlet (the starting place) to a certain D&D deity but change it to Abadar or someone similar. Haven't figured out who I want the local Druid Circle to worship though. I also was thinking that most of the populace worship Erastil. And was thinking instead of the intro given, the PCs are riding towards the village with a merchant that gave them a ride but they get attack by bandits on their way there. Definitely plan on having the PCs start at level 1 and if possible stretch the adventure to level 20.

But I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback about this. I also played the computer game for Temple of Elemental Evil a long time ago before getting introduced into TTRPGs so was a bit familiar with the adventure before playing in it. Anyways, I would love to hear your thoughts and advice. I want to make this a memorable game when I decide to run it.
