A buddie of mine is going to start another campain around the begining of the semester, so in preperation ive been brain storming a character for myself. the Last time we played i was a human druid, so this time around i wana try to play a gnome artificer. My end goal is to eventualy have my PC build himself a small mecha suit and kinda be a Titan Fall 2 cosplay. from the research ive done it could be possible for me to pull this off. At about 2nd - 4th lvl i could make myself a vest of feather fall, boots of spider climb, and goggles/helm of night vision (so i can see in the dark). at fith i can make a contruct. This is where things get a bit shakie. You see im not sure how making this construct into a mech would work exactly. I know that it would have its own hit die but how would it fuction in combat. would damage to it effect me. could i have an eject system, how long would it take me to make it. so manny questions! any advice?
