Hello everyone,
Really enjoying the 3.17 update so far. Went skele mages on trade league and having good fun doing duos with my buddy. However, I can't help but want something a little more... engaging.
This is my 3rd league playing and I'm starting to have a little bit of interest in SSF, mostly to force myself to learn about crafting and not relying too much on the trade site for what I need. With all the changes to the atlas, the ease of getting scarabs, essences and other super strong passives this seems like the perfect time to get into it.
I'm not really sure where to go to start learning about how to get into it though. I've been burned pretty bad by builds on Poe Vault and other builds posted by poevault and occasionally poebuilds -- large promises and not enough experience to see the red flags in the guides before committing to a new character. I'd really like to avoid that experience if possible... Can anyone recommend a solid SSF league starter that has the potential to scale up?
I like Delve, Expedition, Blight and am interested in taking on the endgame bosses given enough time and progress. I've always been interested in Duelist and Templar builds, the Chieftain ascendency, but I have most experience with witch and the other Marauder ascendancies marauder. I'm open to totem builds, but not minion simply because my trade league character is already running minions. I don't need anything shiny or fancy, just simple and reliable!
Any suggestions of what builds to research would be very much appreciated! Also, general guides to SSF would also be really great to have.
Thank you so much for the help!
