Is anyone Playing SST with the new Emperor's Vigilance trait?

I am very intrigued by it and would love to play it - Currently saving up for it. But is it worth it? I never played SST or Trickster. I was going to try doing both with the new shield and notable but not sure if its worth it. Currently playing Boneshatter Slayer but getting bored of Leap slam and its hinderances.
If you are playing this combo or a different ascendancy I'd love to hear about it :)
