Nano puff sizing
Post Body

Update: went to the Patagonia store. Explained the issue. I tried on the medium for them, they’re like “yeah too small”. They pulled a large MICRO puff & it fit the way it should. I told them about how I had returned the large nano because it had been too big on me, bigger than how the Micro fit. They said maybe it was mislabeled, weren’t sure what happened. I ended up going home with the Micro Puff in large. Fits well & I can layer it well.

Hi all. Wanted to get some info re: sizing. Searched the sub for posts in the past year but nothing really matched.

Picture. Men’s medium below, women’s medium above.

I own a Better Sweater, medium, fits great (relaxed). Use this regularly when it gets chilly out. I also owned a puffer type jacket that is similar to the Nano Puff (received it from work a few years ago, works great). I would layer these two and be super warm on cold nights out.

Last week, I ordered a Nano Puff to replace the work jacket (ripped). I ordered a medium since that's what my Better Sweater is. Received the jacket, it was way more snug than my Better Sweater. Like... I would not be able to layer with this jacket on. If I put my hands in the pockets, it would stretch out and I could feel the tightness in the shoulders, armpits, and waist area.

So I exchanged it for a large size. The large fits like an extra large. Super baggy, very loose. Obviously I can layer but it is just way too much.

I checked to see if maybe I had been given a women's fit of either but not, everything showed it was for men.

Is this really the fit? I'm 5'11", 180. I'm confused because of my experience with the Better Sweater.
