Hi Outdoor-People,

I'm about to buy (better "keep") one of the mentioned rain jackets. I am going on a six month half-world journey and need a rainjacket for rainy days but in warm temperatures.
I'd also use it here at home for a few days a year, for example when bicycling or kayaking in rain.

I have ordered both on sale, TS for 145 € , Granite Crest for 215 €. so GC is 70€ more or about 50% more than TS.

I don't know which one to keep.
I prefer the color of the TS and that is seems more sturdy - important for when hiking in a forest because of branches or other thorny plants. And it is cheaper.

The GC on the other hand feels a little better and lighter on my skin. It is softer and a lot more quiet. The TS is pretty loud in comparison.
Because it feels lighter and smoother (but actually isn't in weight) I guess it would be a little more breathable than TS. But it also seems as it would suffer much faster and easier when striping pointi branches for example.

I'm really torn and can't decide, so I'm hoping to get some help from you experienced outdoor people.
