Patagonia in Early May?
Post Body
20M who is planning a trip next year to Chile, Argentina and Uruguay next year. I have always found this area of South America interesting because - well its in the Southern Hemisphere - and I like colder weather.
My plan is something like
- Santiago/Valparaiso (4-5 days)
- Punta Arenas (2 days)
- Puerto Natales (2 days)
- (maybe) El Calafate (2 days)
- Ushuaia (3 days)
- Buenos Aires (4-5 days)
- Montevideo (3 days)
I will be taking busses since renting a car is a bit too much hassle for me and I don't thing I am legal.
Only 3 things I want to ask
- Are penguins (king ones I read) year round?
- How common is English? (I plan on learning some Spanish basics since I know some French)
- What else should I know for things being closed or not open since the season is more quiet?
