Hola Redditors! I'm going to the Chilean Lake District for about 3 weeks. There seems like so much to do but also lots of similar stuff (aka volcanoes, lakes). Could anyone recommend me the best highlights of the region for volcano hikes, hot springs, white water rafting, cultural experiences, and unique nature? I'm looking at passing through these towns or using them as setting off points: - Chiloe - Chaiten (worth it? Long way from Puerto Montt) - Puerto Varas - Puerto Octay - Valdivia - Pucon - Loncoche (I've heard about the rodeo there?) - Fruitilla - Osorno (do we need to go there? Can we access the best bits from anyother town?) - Temuco (same as above).
Many thanks!
