Hey there everyone.
I was SO excited to receive my USA passport today. I opened the envelope it was sent in and was appreciating the aesthetic and comparing it to my old passport.
THEN, I realized that my middle name is misspelled. My middle name is Michael, and on the passport it is spelled "Michel"
I checked my application and I submitted everything accurately, so this was an error on their end.
I was wondering if it is absolutely mandatory to get this error fixed before I plan on using it, and if there were any suggestions or opinions from someone who more well-versed than I am when it comes to the rules and regulations.
I feel like I am seeing mixed opinions, with many stating that it is just a minor error and that if I make sure my plane tickets have the same name then I would be in the clear to use it.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!
