I don’t know if anyone remembers my post, but my name is off by one letter on my birth certificate. I was too scared to file for my passport and someone told me I could because my name was phonetically the same. I did apply for a name change through a court over this one letter bc I could not amend my birth certificate through the vital registrar. So I wasn’t sure if filing for the name change would hurt, help, or do nothing to my attempt to get a passport. So I just wung it and fully expected it to be denied.
This was for a new first passport paid expidited
5/9 changed from not available to processing
6/9 & 6/12 - went to the reps page and filled out the form but thought eh, it’s not been long enough I better not bug them and never sent back the release for them to check in on my behalf.
6/15 changed to approved
6/15 ALSO CHANGED TO SHIPPED AND GAVE ME A TRACKING NUMBER
