I am traveling on 6/9, my current passport expires this month and I have already attempted to renew by mail once. I sent my application with everything I needed in March with enough time to make the 10-13 week window, but it was returned and the only information I got was that the photo I sent wasn’t acceptable. I don’t know why, I got them taken at one of the only places I could find near me that offered the service specifically so it would fit the criteria.
Now I am really pushing the 7-9 weeks even if I do expedited(and just hope the next passport photo I send is acceptable), but I don’t want to wait around until I’m 2 weeks out and hope I can get an appointment at a passport agency. I’ve seen third party agencies that say they can help but don’t want to fall for something scammy, any advice?
