So, this is my story, and honestly, itās a mix of pride, frustration, and a lot of confusion.
A month ago, I decided to upload YouTube Shorts for my Dropshipping Business. It wasnāt something I put an insane amount of effort intoājust a simple idea that I thought might get some traction. I didnāt expect much, but then the algorithm decided to bless me. That Short blew up. I mean, *really* blew up. It racked up over 100 million views in what felt like no time at all.
As the views kept climbing, so did my subscriber count. Before I knew it, I had passed 100K subscribers, and then 150K, all from that one Short. It was surreal. I was pumped, thinking about how this could change things for meāmaybe even turn YouTube into a real source of income. But hereās where the story takes a weird turn.
Despite the massive numbers, I didnāt make any money from it. Zilch. Nada. From what Iāve gathered, YouTube Shorts donāt monetize the same way as regular videos, and the Shorts Fund isnāt exactly transparent or reliable for everyone. But I have made 0$ becuase I was rejected from YPP for "reused content". My content was 100% original. I contacted YT Support many times, they couldn't provide me with a reason. So, despite the crazy view count, my bank account stayed exactly the same.
But hey, at least I had my subscribers, right? And with over 100K, I figured I was at least guaranteed that shiny Silver Play Button. I waited for the email with the redemption code, but it never came. Weeks went by, and I started to get worried. I finally reached out to YouTube Support, and after some back-and-forth, they told me there were some āconcernsā about my channel.
Now, Iāve always tried to follow the rules. Iām not out here posting anything controversial or against the guidelines, so this was a total shock to me. But YouTube wouldnāt tell me exactly what the issue was. Just vague responses and no real answers. As it stands, Iām sitting here with 150K subscribers, no money made, and no play button to show for it.
Itās been a pretty disheartening experience, to be honest. Iām proud of the success that one Short brought me, but itās frustrating to feel like Iām being stonewalled with no clear explanation. Iāve tried reaching out again, but so far, nothing has changed.
So, yeah, thatās where Iām at. A hundred million views, a huge subscriber boost, but nothing to show for it in the end. If anyone else has been through something similar, Iād love to hear your story. Maybe we can figure this out together.
