So for some quick context, my channel was hacked last week. I had received an email about a potential sponsorship. Now in retrospect I feel extremely stupid for ever clicking on the download link included, but itās too late to feel down about that! What had happened initially was that my Google account was logged out of every device I had it on. Now I thought that was extremely weird considering I never log out of it. I try logging in a few times, until it said āyour password has been changed an hour ago.ā At that point I started to panic, so I decided to look at my channel and initially it was untouched. I contacted team YouTube through their twitter page, and on my first account they didnāt respond with a helpful answer. Luckily they ended up sending me a recovery form when I hopped on my second account. During all this, the channel got changed to some Tesla bs with a bitcoin livestream. This led to the channel being deleted for violating YouTube guidelines. (Both a good and bad thing, good cause now they wonāt have any access to the channel, bad becauseā¦ALL MY HARD WORK HAS DISAPPEARED!!!) ~~~~~~~~ So my question at this point, how long should I expect to wait for my account to be restored to me? Iām trying my hardest to not be impatient, but if Iām being honest, itās caused me a lot of anxiety and stress. I recently hit 100k subscribers on the channel not too long ago. Itās been my passion to become a YouTuber for so long and I felt as if I finally accomplished that. I know in the end things will be fixed. But how long did it take for the team to fix your channels if they were hacked? Any answers or predictions are helpful and appreciated!!!
