What should I use to calibrate a proton detector?
Post Body

So I am not sure if this is the right thread for this or not but imma give it a shot. As part of a project, we are working on designing a scintillation detector (CsI(Tl)), to detect proton flux in the range 10MeV to 100MeV. I want to know what can we use to calibrate this? We don't have access to proton sources of this energy range but alpha particles might be available. Will they be suitable? Also, we are all from engineering backgrounds so none of us have much idea about particle physics. Our main focus has been on data acquisition so far, but calibration is a major issue which we need to start thinking about. Any help is greatly appreciated!
