First time stray cat owner lol

This little guy had been coming over every night for pets and cuddles ( I was never a cat guy but this guy really is loving ???!!) he literally falls asleep in my lap lol! I may or may not have bought him/her treats and wet food??!
P.S. she is the neighbors outdoor cat but just loves to visit me for cuddles. Is this normal / ok ?? Let me know how Iām doing ??!!!
