My Experience
Post Body

I was glad to find this subreddit and read about other people's experiences, and I wanted to share mine.

The bad smell/taste kicked in over a few days in late June-- one day I was eating a salad for lunch, it tasted okay but not great. There was some left over so I took it home to finish later, and within that short time frame my taste had changed-- I couldn't finish it, and it really freaked me out. I think the cucumber really got me, and the dressing... come to find out most things taste that way... I've been dealing with this for well over a month now and it's time to accept it's not going away soon.

At first some of my main safe foods were mac n cheese, and grapes, but lately both of those have failed me. Now I eat spaghetti with butter and parmesan, shrimp with lemon juice, nova smoked salmon and certain cheeses, especially mozzarella, as my main staples. Should probably expand the fruit/vegetable options beyond lemon juice, but I'm still not over grapes turning bad :(

I will definitely try some of the foods recommended on this subreddit next time I grocery shop! And I'm so glad to hear some people have recovered, I can't wait for the day I can eat chocolate again!
