Parkinsons and walking issues
Post Body

Diagnosed 4 years ago at age 51. I had initial symptoms of tremors in my hands that caused several problems, but the main issue I have had has been with my walking. The combination of Parkinsons and arthritis in knee and ankle have made walking extremely difficult and painful. The Sinemet has been able to control my tremors in my hands unless I am trying to hold something still, but it has had no effect on my walking problems. I use a cane but walking any distance is out of the question. I am afraid at the current rate of weakness I will be in a wheelchair sooner than I thought. Have any of you had any success in curbing this problem? I have tried Rock Steady boxing but driving an hour to the closest class got more than I could handle.
