We are a family of three. While my wife and I are both fully vaccinated ( booster) our certificates may not be valid in the EU region as Covaxin is not approved by the EU. My daughter is 14, and the vaccines for kids below 15 isn’t available as yet.
From what I read online, we will be treated as ‘unvaccinated travellers. And, unvaccinated travellers from ‘Green countries’ like India will need to produce a negative RT PCR certificate on arrival. We will also not be eligible for the digital certificate that’s being given to fully vaccinated travellers.
We are in a catch 22 situation. Would it be prudent to cancel trip and do it later when the covid situation settles down (will that ever happen!), or take the chance and book the tickets.
We would hate getting quarantined on arrival and spending our vacation inside a hotel room! Or being treated differently in the city for not having a digital certificate that’s recognised in the region! Sorry about the rambling!
It would be nice to hear from you on the ground realities in Paris.
