Hi, Folks,
I am going to Europe (for the first time in my life) this summer and I am super excited. I will be in London from June 27 until July 12. After that, I thought I'd go to Paris for a week. This would be the week before the olympics and I would definitely be gone before July 26, as I have no desire to be caught up in that chaos.
I was super excited for Paris, but now I am wondering how much chaos there will be in the week before the Olympics. Will I be able to be able to get around the city, get into museums, see the Eiffel tower, etc? I would be sad to skip Paris but maybe I should come next year instead.
If I skip Paris, should I go to Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, or maybe Barcelona? I enjoy some nightlife and I will hit a nightclub or two while I am in London. But, mostly I love to just walk a city in the sunlight and see people, admire the old architecture, feel the buzz, go to cafes, look in shop windows.
I welcome your ideas. Thanks!
