I’m customs for a high cost item bought in Paris

Post Body

We’re planning a trip from the UK to Paris soon.

We’re hoping to buy an anniversary present in Paris at the Cartier store, so it will be thousands of euros.

I’m now aware that we can claim the vat back using apps like Wevat or the stores own agent.

My question is, do we need to declare this item to UK customs?

Will there be additional tax to pay to the UK customs?

Edit: sorry about the stupid typo in the title, please ignore the “I’m”
