We all know the game. You think of a word or phrase and players take turns guessing letters. If an incorrect letter is guessed, a portion of a man hanging at the gallows is drawn and the players lose if all components of a person hanging is drawn.
Well this is morbid AF for a 6 year-old.
So what I did, was I changed the game to "Don't Draw A Dog"
Same concept, except now we're not thinking of death when my daughter is trying to come up with a vowel to guess.
It's a really great game for her at her age because she's starting to really excel at reading, and I'm happy I came up with a simple way to make it more fun and less grim.
