Post Body

Our 11 yay old Lab is being put to sleep Monday (kidney failure and cancer). We have scheduled a vet to come to our home. We have decided to have this done while our daughter is at school and are sending our son to his grandmother's for the day. We actively and openly talk about death and afterlife with the kids. They both seem to get it. Their great grandmother passed away last month so they've been introduced to death recently. I honestly believe in having a harder time with this than they are, maybe because they are so young (both under 7). I'm just looking to see how others have dealt with death of a family pet and any advice you may have. I'm especially worried about Monday morning when I bring my daughter to school. Should I have her say goodbye? Thanks for your time.
