So its not that he doesn't want to sleep ever, more he will only go to sleep if someone is in the room with him until he falls asleep. Some nights this isn't a problem as he will pass out within 15-30 min. Whereas other nights he refuses to go to sleep like tonight, we laid him down at 9pm it is currently 1040 and I'm still stuck in the room. If I leave he gets out of bed screaming and come down stairs to his mother and I. We both love him very much but it's causing strain between my wife and I because we have next to 0 time alone awake together. My wife is already in bed asleep as we both have work in the morning so I managed to spend a total of 4 hours today with her and none of it was meaningful connection time. This isn't our first child, our oldest is 6, but he wasn't like this. He wanted to be in bed and go to sleep. I guess what I'm asking is, is there anyway to break him of this habit or is this just something that is going to have to play itself out? Anything would be appreciated thanks!
TL;DR 2 and a half year old refuses to go to sleep unless someone is in the room, can take hours sometimes. Any way to break habit?
