I’m at my wits end here. My daughter picks up everything that’s not nailed down and moves it, sometimes she will hand it to adults but it’s not helpful - e.g she’ll find the tv remote, PlayStation controller and Xbox controller and just dump them unceremoniously on your lap, which is frustrating when it’s literally every single time. She will go out of her way to pull books off the bookshelves and again just dump them on you - I own loads of books and they have an order to how they’re stored and she just keeps pulling them out for no reason and dumping them on me, my partner, her brothers etc. She will go through people’s purses if they put them down for just a second. I am sick of feeling like I cant even put down a remote or have books on my bookshelves! She even does this outside. She will pull clothes off the line for example.

The worst part is she’s heavy handed. She’s ripped pages out of books, broken items, damaged stuff. Today she pulled over one of my Tarot decks and ripped some of the cards. It doesn’t matter how many times I tell her this isn’t yours, this isn’t for you, don’t touch, It’s there for a reason etc. If she realises she’s upset someone, she gets upset, but nothing stops her from doing this. Any advice? Thanks.

Edit: should add she doesn’t play with toys, she just tips them all over the place and moves them around. She won’t sit at a dolls house or tool bench or anything like that, she just enjoys making a mess. I have my suspicions she may be on the autistic spectrum, and wonder if this may be connected, but either way any help stopping this would be great as it’s really frustrating.
