We had to do one of the hardest things last night tell the kids their granny passed away from covid on tue. We had to keep it to ourselves until last night cause the school would only give them 1 day to mourn since there wasnt going to be a funeral so we decided to tell them last night so they would have fri sat and sun, so we had to keep our emotions in until then. To say the least it's been tough. Kids are 13, 11, 9, &8. Last month their grandpa got diagnosed with stomach cancer then their granny had major heart surgery then around Thanksgiving we got word that their grandpa, granny (well great granny), great uncle and his kid all had covid. Granny and grandpa got put in the ICU. Sat we talked to granny she thought she was going home the next day so we told the kids she was doing better. Come Monday we get a call my husband's father their grandpa just got home out of the hospital but Granny's organs were shutting down then tue she passed away. Luckily hubbys father uncle and cousin are doing better. His father is still dealing with the cancer of course but he got cleared of covid at least. O and during that time the kids uncle (my sister's husband) was put in the hospital for fluid on his lungs cause of his heart, he home now luckily.
