My son is just under 2 years old and very adventurous. I have fitted my home with every childproof thing I can find and think of and nothing is working. No matter what I put in, in two days he has it figured out. Outlet plug covers? Pulls them off. Door knob covers? Twists them like it’s nothing. Snap and lock drawer locks? He’ll unsnap it, get what he wants out and shut and snap it back. The light under latch things for cabinets and drawers? He reaches in the crack, pushes it down like it’s nothing. Walkthrough baby gates? He pushes the latch back with his little finger, pushes up on the gate and opens it. Duct tape? Peels it off. Hair ties around the door knobs? Undoes it and then fixes it back when he’s done. Toilet lid locks? Pushes them to the side and pops them off like it’s nothing. I’m so done y’all. I have no idea what to do at this point. I’ve told him no and put him in time out (at the advice of his pediatrician) and it doesn’t stop him. Any ideas for me? I’m desperate.
