This literally just happened. So we had a 3 year old toddler and a 2 month old newborn. Who ever said have two kids was an easy transition was on fucking heroine! My toddler runs on a daytime schedule, my newborn schedule consists of complete randomness. So im on night shift, my baby eats and eats and eats, hes like a bottomless pit. He sleeps then eats then sleeps then eats, its actually pretty sickening but the doctors arent worried about it yet. Anyways so sometimes he sleeps with his bottle in his mouth, trying to take it away just results in him wake up and having a melt down. So anyways its 430 in the morning, he seemed to have settled down for a bit and so i decide to try and get some sleep. Well he woke up and was fussy. He started to cry so i did the usual, cleaned his butt, made sure his sleeper was dry, got some fresh milk, burped him, rubbed his back, all the good things in life. Well he basically told me to f myself and wouldnt stop crying. I noticed his Tummy was pretty firm, he wouldnt stoo eating all evenings, so i refused to give him his bottle. Well he flipped shit on me. He cries, and cried, and cried but i wouldnt give him his bottle back. He let out more gas so that helped but we were in WWIII at this point. I seatted his butt and he'd pass gas, id rub his back and he'd flip out, id tickle his feet to try and distract him, nothing worked. I tarped a blancket over him, not on him but anout four inches away from his face so it would muffle some of the sound. Wouldnt you know it, that got him to calm down. He was still shaking and his poor little voice was hoarse but i got him to stop crying and he doesnt have his bottle. Now hes starting to deift off to sleep and everything is good. Parenthood is amazing. I need a drink!
