She is turning two and we are pregnant with our second child now. We had been trying to cut back on feedings, but find that we keep slipping and giving more than we should. So we feel it is time to stop all together.

We first decided to slow down when she was having some really bad nights, just crying for 2-3 hours straight for milk. Definitely not hungry as the times she would be given the milk, she'd fall asleep before a minute had past, plus she is eating plenty of food during the day.

We had our first night and day yesterday and it was pretty hard. She was in a bad mood all day and was pretty attached to me (mommy). The night, she ended up sleeping in bed with us for most of it. She'd wake up and throw tantrums, so daddy needed to pick her up and keep her from trying to climb on me. He was able to talk to her and get her to realize that she could not get in bed if she was crying, so at least she understood that much.

It just seems so hard and I'm even wondering if I should completely stop or what. When should they stop feeding? I saw the kid on Game of Thrones at about 13, and he seemed alright. lol XD

Edit: Thanks so much for all the responses, they have helped a lot! So far, she did very well today, a better mood and much less asking for milk. Hopefully tonight will be better than before. I think our last problem is going to be co-sleeping. She seems to really enjoy sleeping with us, so getting her to sleep in her bed is going to be a problem.

P.S. She has always slept in her own bed, but recently has been asking to get in with us. It helped to get her to sleep without the breast, I just hope it didn't give rise to a new problem.
