My daughter who is 11 years old just got caught by her mother creating an Instagram account on her iPad without our consent.

I feel extremely angry, disappointed and betrayed.

She is only 11 years old…

My first reaction is anger. But know, no good outcome will come from me showing her my anger.

Her iPad was connected to my Apple ID so any downloads she attempted, I’d get a notification on my phone to approve or deny. She has created her own Apple ID and email, again against her mother or my consent.

She has been able to download anything, surf the web, and even over ride there time limits and screen time her mother imposed on her.

I am not quite sure what the best approach is to this situation.

I understand she is growing up, starting puberty and is starting to lean more on her friends rather her parents.

Her mother and I come from good families, we only want the best for her and for her to make good choices in life.

I’m terrified.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated it.
