We live in an area where the pressure to perform is crazy.
My 16 yo Daughter is stressed about getting into a “good enough” college. We have gone through a lot of tough stuff the past few years. (Covid, divorce, emotionally abusive dad, grandma has stage 4 cancer).
She had a mental health crisis 2 yrs ago but is much better. She has grown & matured more than most kids her age.
I maintain As long as she is doing her best, she will be fine.
There are so many paths to “success”. She can go to a community college first, join the peace corps, join the Navy or Air Force or go to University. There are options!
What did you all do?
Did you go to college? where?
Are you happy with your life?
I want her to know there are endless paths to a happy future!
