Hello,
i’m a pretty ambiverted parent and totally understand where my daughters coming from when it comes to being shy and not wanting to do certain extra curricular/ after school events and clubs but she came to me this weekend asking about socializing and the future.
I responded with a generic answer like “people are generally nice, so most times you shouldn’t be afraid to speak your mind or start conversations with people you think are interesting”
but what are some tips any parents here can give about raising a tween (12 yo) who is introverted into finding her voice, more confidence and to be more happy with herself and what not? her interests are video games, photography, art, music, anime, animals and nature.
some context: we’ve moved and are still settling into the area, been here about a year. i don’t have much friends HERE but we have family and friends in different states/towns.
