Like title says my gf has 2 kids 10&12. I have a 5yr old. We have been together almost 2 yrs. Everything has been fine until this trip. She has always told her kids they can’t go to Disneyland till they are 10. Partly money partly she says they can’t get on many rides till then. She has asked me to go and was going to pay for my flights and hotels but I had to cover the rest myself. My gf has a leg injury and says she needs my help but I know full well she is capable of doing most things on her own and could use a motorized wheelchair if necessary at the park.

The catch is she has asked me to not bring my 5yr old Because my gf doesn’t want to have to say no to her kids because of mine or force them to do things mine would want. As this is a trip for her kids she says. My gf also says her parents who are coming don’t want to travel with a 5yr old. They love my kid and say they are the easiest child parenting wise they’ve ever met.

We have never fought on parenting before but as someone who was fortunate enough to have a dad in the moving industry I’ve been many times because of opportunity. I know the park is very much built for all ages and there is tons for a 5yr old to do and we would just have to split up when they go on bigger rides.

I have said no as I can’t go to such a park and trip without my kid.

What are your thoughts I’m not looking for breakup advice. Or how to change her mind. Just looking to see how other parents feel about this situation.
