ETA Thanks so much to the folks who shared here, I don't always have someone to talk to about everyday parenting stuff and it made me really happy to read your comments. We are currently at the library with Watterson in hand ❤️
He is 8 and LOVES to describe panels to me, without showing me the actual comic, and then proceeds to ask what they mean. Every time, I think of the layers of time and politics and 20th century social mores I would need to peel back in order to help him understand all of these comics... Kids, man, hahaha.
