Just want to know I'm not alone and my child isn't in fact turning into a horror!!

My daughter is a few months off 8. The last few months it's like a switch has flicked. She's always been fairly emotional and prone to 'outbursts' and anger/frustration/upset. But she was also one of the most loving and affectionate and empathetic kids. Now she's just super moody. Rejecting most affection. Gone from thinking I'm the best thing since sliced bread to often seemingly thinking I'm just an annoying imbecile! She's rude, she seems quite self centered. Seems less concerned about other people and their feelings.

I've heard of the Adrenarche. I'm guessing this is it?! But is this normal?!
