This has been the worst few weeks/months in a long time. I’m 47 and last month my beautiful mom died unexpectedly. My son 12 has been having a really tough school year as well. 6th grade middle school he did great. This year 7th grade, his grades have dropped and he has a bully threatening to beat him up. He was grounded for failing classes in spite of being one of the smartest kids in class. We’ve been working with him on solutions and positive reinforcement but I think it’s all too much for him. My husband can be hard on him at times too. So I booked him an appointment for a tele health therapist tomorrow which he was ok with. He doesn’t actively want to hurt himself but he has thoughts. It’s fucking terrifying. I’m grieving my mom and worried my son is going to hurt himself. I guess this is just a vent. Thanks for listening.
