I originally posted this as a comment to someone else’s post, but it’s kinda long and I thought I’d make it its own post.

Here goes:

I have had a lot of psychic experiences. I believe it has a lot to do with my upbringing. My family was religious, but also very spiritual. They believed in spirits, in the subconscious and unconscious picking up on things we may not able to consciously see or know. And dreams were very important in my family; we always spoke about dreams and what they meant.

So here are a few of my own experiences. I’m not putting them in any particular order.

One of the creepiest dreams I had was when I lived in California. My family is from the Southeastern US. I dreamt that I was walking in my sister’s neighborhood (it was a newer development with lots of new houses). As I walked, I came across the head of a baby boy in the middle of the road. I wasn’t afraid or freaked out. I picked him up and continued walking towards my sister’s house. When I got there, I gave her the baby’s head, and at that moment I woke up. I called her a day or two later and while just chatting, I told her about the strange dream. She got quiet for a moment, then said “I haven’t told anyone, but I had a miscarriage a few days ago.”

Another strange “head” dream happened while I was still living in California. In the small town where I’m from, everyone knew everyone, and we were all “related” in some way or another. There was a young woman (older than me, tho) who became a heavy drug user. She would wander around the area, and because people knew her and her family, they’d give her something to eat or some money or clothes. She and I had NEVER spoken, and I honestly don’t think I’d ever been in a room with her. I’d only seen her around. After a while, no one saw her, and even her family became worried about her. It’s a small area, and they didn’t think she had left, but no one had seen her. I’m living in California, and one night I have a weird dream, and in the middle of the dream I am walking in some woods near my grandparents’ house. I happen to glance down and I see the young woman - I’ll call her Lily - on the ground, but it was just her head. And I kept walking. Honestly, walking past her head was not even a major part of the dream. It was very quick. So I tell the whole dream to my mother - who works in law enforcement - and she says, “You know, there are rumors that maybe she was killed and dumped somewhere around here.” And that was that. MONTHS go by, no one sees it hears from Lily, and early one morning about a year or so later, I get a phone call from my mother. The first thing she says is “They found Lily’s body”. Sure enough, it was around the area I had seen in my dream. The wildest part that my mother told me was that she’d heard from deputies/detectives that were working on the case that because of decomposition and wild animals, Lily’s head was no longer attached to what remained of her body. I was floored!!

Because this is long, I will stop here. But I have other stories.
