For context, I live in the northwest of the UK, England in the county of Cheshire in the town of Halton. Part of the industrial heartlands in northern England.

I felt like not sharing this story as I hoped to self-rationalise but non of it makes sense scientifically and logically.

Time to explain….

I was walking back after doing some shopping, it was midday and I was therapeutically walking back home. As I was nearing the conclusion of my journey, approaching me was a family of three (a man, woman and child). They were a very typical family.

I moved out of their way to let them past as I’m quite courteous but something felt weird. I did not know what it was.

I noticed that had a foreign accent and they are white Europeans. I assumed they were refugees from Ukraine but they had a Germanic look about them.

As I was rationalising who they may be, I looked back a second time and that disappeared. It was only for a few seconds that they walked past me and could not have disappeared that fast.

I immediately ran home as I was creeped out and that I’ve been replying in my mind to no avail…. And felt like someone was watching me uncomfortably.

This is most inexplicable and unsettling for me….
