My Dad and I were always really Close. In 2017 he was diagnosed with terminal Cancer 2018 he passed. its coming up on 4 years since he passed, and I don't know if its a coincidence or not but I keep seeing him and noticing little things around the house that remind me of him. the first one was the smell of cigarette smoke. we have our own house and its got a good amount of space between the other houses. my wife doesn't smoke and I quit back in 2016. my wife and I both noticed it when we were sitting on the couch binging the latest season of stranger things. within 20 minutes it was gone and we were extremely confused.the next instant was when I was laying on our driveway changing the oil in my wife's jeep. I smelt smoke again and immediate looked around because oil and fire are not a good mix. when i looked to my right he was there next to me. camel non filter cigarette in his hand, grey flat top haircut, and the scar on his neck from where he had a skin cancer removed. he was looking at me and smiled. it startled me so bad, I tried to sit up under the jeep and damn near knocked myself out on the front driveshaft. after I came to I looked over and nothing. didn't smell smoke either. I asked an army buddy I serve with that believes in the paranormal too wondering why he's showing up. He told me "Maybe he misses you." It made me think, do you think its possible for those that have passed can miss us and do check up on us?
