This past weekend I was camping with my family and some friends at Gatlin point in LBL. This was quite a beautiful spot right on the water. Had a great day setting up, cooking and then a good evening sitting by the fire and relaxing. At about 1 my wife and I went to bed.

At 4 she woke me up and said it sounded like someone threw something in the lake. I told her it was probably a fish jumping in the water. Right about that moment I heard the splash. It was not the sound of a fish jumping at all. It sounded like someone threw a block in the water. If you have heard a fish jump you know that sound vs something thrown in the water. A couple of minutes later there was another splash, but this time it was closer. A couple of minutes later another.

This is where things get really strange. At the waterline distance away, but right even with the tent, we heard a subdued scream then the splash again. I opened the tent and shined my flashlight toward the shore and scanned back and forth and say nothing. Then the scream and splash again further to the right this time, but not much. Then again further down. Then gone.

I got up drove around, searched with my light, and found nothing. I don’t believe in ghosts or anything like that, but I am having a real hard time with this one. Does anyone have any ideas?
