So I never experienced this and if it's not appropriate mods, feel free to let me know so I can remove it

I grew up in a small town in Oregon. At the end of my junior of high school, my mom and I moved to a neighborhood that was freshly built. We were the first people in the house. There was a bunch of other houses ether being built or already built and had people living. The neighborhood was built next to my hometowns oldest cemetery. We have two cemeteries.

I didn't hear about this till a few years after we moved but my mom was talking to one of the neighbors behind us. He was saying that there is a little girl that haunts there house. They could hear her running around upstairs. Find cabinets open. Some giggling. Once they knew she wasn't hostile. They accepted her. Even talks to her. The owner was telling my mom that she only comes to the house when the house next to them is vacant. Once people move in, she jumps to the house with the new owners and plays around there. If the new owners can't tolerate it, they move and she jumps back to their house. It happened a few times.

We have not talked to the guy that lived there since we moved but it was interesting to hear that a house just right behind us was haunted and I was not aware of it. Makes me wonder what other houses are haunted in the neighborhood or even if ours was and I didn't know
