Is this paranormal in a sense that it is just not normal or is there another explanation?
Post Body

I was chatting with my aunt one time about this really beautiful local place that we have called El Nido, Palawan. You can access this personal favorite of mine by either a seaplane or by driving from 8 hours.

My family went there for my birthday during 2011 while my aunt went with my other aunt and her co workers during 2013. I asked her if she enjoyed the islands and she quickly pouted her lips and exclaimed no because on of her coworkers ruined the day for them.

Apparently, the coworker (let's call her Linda) knew that she was allergic to seafood but she still munched on the shrimps for lunch. And soon she was itching and was gasping for air according to my aunt.

She was stupid enough to eat seafoods but she was more stupid for not bringing any antihistamine or medicine for her condition and they were in the middle of an island with nothing but water and nature.

So I asked my aunt how Linda managed to stay alive when I know for a fact that El Nido is kind of secluded. She shared that one of the boaters did something.

She said he gathered all the shells of the seafood that Linda ate, placed them in a dry coconut shell and lit it with fire and asked Linda to stay by the smoke. And afterwards Linda was miraculously much better.

I promise that this is a true story. And my aunt witnessed it first hand. She was still more pissed about Linda ruining the trip that whatever the boater did.

I don't know if there is a scientific explanation to this one. If there is, please let me know cause I seriously would like to know.
