So, safe to say this freaked me tf out...
The other night, I could NOT go to sleep - which was weird, since I get up at 5am everyday and have a PROBLEM staying up past 10pm lol. However, I knew something bad/weird was going to happen, I just didn't know what...
So 1am rolls around, I'm laying in bed, trying to calm myself down - NOTHING is working. No sleep. Now, what was previously shrugged off as a fear was now shifting into nothing else but serious intuition. Finally, at about 2:30... I finally get some sleep.
Then suddenly, before I know it, my girlfriend wakes me up. We both hear the sound of our locked doorknob trying to be turned. I'm not saying like a breeze from the wind, no, this was FULL ON twisting and turning. Thinking it's an intruder, I immediately shout for my GF to go get me my gun (I don't actually own a gun, but I know this is a popular tactic for scaring off burglers).
And yet, the twisting persists. Furthermore, we hear the cats in our neighborhood (there's a lot of them lol) going CRAZY, making WEIRD noises. Noises that sound like babies screeching. We turn on the outside light to "expose them" and let them know we know they're there. Nope, still at it.
But now, to make things even freakier, we see SHADOWS moving back and forth through our curtains, like someone walking back and forth. There's still an occaisonal twist and push at the door.
I'm freaked out - full on anxiety and adrenaline - so I call the police. The police come and check out the scene, and don't find anyone or any trace that anyone was even there. But, at the very least, it did give me solace - and while even though there were still noises after they left; for some reason, I felt safe enough to go to sleep... But I still had terrible nightmares.
The next day, we go and have breakfast with our grandparents (who live in the "main house" , we're in the disconnected guest house) and Grandpa said he knew there was something there at 3am. The doorknob incident occurred at 4 (I remember vividly since I checked my phone to call). Our grandparents are religious and do believe in spirits, etc. - so they said it was a demon.
Luckily, nothing has happened since then, but I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts on this whole thing.
