The windows to my backyard are connected to my living room right so I can see my backyard from the couch but the curtains are usually closed. Lately though, I’ve been seeing stuff in my backyard. This has been happening over the course of 1-2 weeks and it started with a black figure moving swiftly past my window. Mind you, my backyard is pretty spaced out and empty with only 2 small trees nowhere near the windows. I was high (weed) when I first saw the black figure, I had been watching tv and the window is by the tv but the curtains were still close so I only saw it from the side of the window. I brushed it off as weed induced paranoia even though I never get that and went upstairs and didn’t give it another thought.

The other day it was at night again, I saw what looked like a flashlight turning on through my closed curtain. They aren’t blackout curtains so you can vaguely see figures and light through them. The light flickered a few times but turned off right as I was about to take a picture. I woke my dad up, I live alone with my dad but he’s usually in bed when at home, and looked all around my backyard with a baseball bat and flashlight but nothing was there.

I have dogs that bark at obscure noises & the doorbell but they never bark when this happens. There’s never noise anyway tho. Not any I can hear over the tv. It’s always at night and only when I’m alone. A big reason this is such a concern to me is that my backyard gate doesn’t lock. We keep it closed but the gate doesn’t lock. Anyone could walk in from my driveway.

Tonight I saw the black figure again. Swiftly moved past my window the same way but this time I haven’t smoked in days so I can’t brush it off as paranoia again. I combed the backyard again and saw nothing.

I’m kind of really afraid and idk what this is. The one thing I’ve seen about the figure tho is that my neighbor from over the fence’s motion detector light is always on before I see it.

Any logical explanations?
