I dont know if this is the subreddit for this kind of thing, but I thought, what's the worst that could happen, so here it is.
I really liked the classification system that was used in Worm, so I thought I would try my hand at making one. It's inspired mostly by Worm, but there are a few other influences as well, trying to make it distinctive from the PRT system after all
Titan-Powers that affect the individuals body Example-Super strength and invulnerability, rubber body, transform into a living sun
Psyker-Powers that affect the mind of the individual or the minds of others Example-Super intelligence, sensory manipulation, psychokinesis
Traveller-Powers that grant increased mobility Example-Teleportation, portal creation, flight
Reargaurd-Powers that provide offensive firepower or defensive support from a distance Example-Laser blasts, barriers, smokescreen
Domain-Powers that allow control of the surrounding environment or control of a specific concept Example-Terrain manipulation, probability control (control good or bad luck), spatial manipulation
Gifters-Powers that imbue objects and even places with unique effects Examples-A sword that can cut through anything, an umbrella that allows flight Mary Poppins style, a gun that can shoot infinite bullets
Highcards-Powers that affect other powers Examples-Ability copying, power cancelation, temporarily giving someone superpowers
There are also subtypes to help differentiate the types of Powers for each category. So having super strength would make you a Titan/Warrior since it increases combat power, and having a rubber body would make you a Titan/Shifter since it transforms your body's physical properties.
There's also a danger rating that determines how dangerous the individual is by calculating how destructive that power is and how difficult it would be to capture that person from a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being as dangerous as an ordinary person, and 10 being as dangerous that they can destroy the entire world in the blink of an eye.
I would love honest feedback on this classification system because I thought I could use it in a story I've been working on, so please if there are questions or anything you think that can improve it, I'm all ears.
