As the shortest day nears, I find myself longing for the burning heat of summer. A kind girl and I going tanning on a lazy river, me laid out on her stomach as we float downstream, our only concern the floating cooler next to her and the tunes playing from the speaker.
Of course, when we finally get out of the water, and she realizes that there's a small, pale silhouette of me on her otherwise perfectly tanned skin, just above her navel, she blames me for it, but I think she did it on purpose, a tiny reminder of our relaxing float down the river.
