Do you use the internal teleconverter option on the G7? Does it actually not degrade quality? I can’t find much info.

Hello,
I’ve been using the G7 for over a year now for video work. I’ve used the teleconverter function but it‘s not always sharp. I was wondering if others use it and what their thoughts are. I know it only works for 1080, which is fine for most of my stuff.
I just did a test with my sigma 18-35. It seems pretty usable, and a little bit less sharp. There’s also more noise. In the past I used it with the kit lens and it definitely lost a lot of sharpness with that.
